This customer needed a food panty for multiple cooking groups within thier church. They had previously been using a giant collection of those black plastic “tube and waffle” style portable shelving units, which were bucking under the weight of all the food. Additionally, food from the various groups was getting all mixed up, causing disputes over ownership within the groups.
The solution was clear: floor to ceiling, strudy wooden cabinets for all… with locks! We chose to use birch plywood which was both attractive and durable. We built cabinets all the way to the ceiling, with as many shelves as possible. Click on any of these thumbnails for details.
Each unit would have its own lock and belong to an individual cooking group. We used brass handles, locks and name plates for a nice finsihing touch. Now there is tons of storage, its looks beautiful and organized with no more conflicts over who owns what.
